INSPECTION & EXPEDITING SERVICES

Inspection is a procedure to check and verify if the quality, quantity, and performance of an item meets the predetermined specifications and standards. Performing inspections of materials and/or raw materials prior to manufacturing and assembly can have a positively baring effect on the quality of the final product. McLART LLC can provide material inspection services on behalf of clients all over the world. Material is inspected for visual flaws, dimensional verification, quality compliance and quantity against client provided specifications. Some of the materials we can inspect are Mechanical items: plates, pipes, tubing, fittings, fasteners, gaskets, castings etc. Material inspection is done as per client approved ITP, client issued PO & specifications. Inspection stages are :

1.Visual inspection of material to check for any damage, pitting, corrosion, excessive rusting etc

2. Dimensional material inspection to check pipe diameter, pipe ovality, thickness, straightness

3.Mill marking verification to ensure all required markings such as heat nos., mill name, size, material specification etc. as required by code & specification

4. Review of material test reports to ensure all chemical & mechanical properties including hardness values are recorded

5.Fabricated items: pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boiler, piping, structural process skids etc Fabricated items such as pressure vessels as material inspection are inspected at inspection stages as per approved inspection and test plan (ITP) including review / witness of welding procedures, fit-up inspection review of RT films, weld visual inspection, final visual & dimensional inspection, witness of pressure tests, painting inspection, packing inspection etc.

6. Valves inspection: Material inspection of valves includes stage inspection during manufacturing, visual and dimensional inspection, witness of body/seat pressure tests, packing inspection etc

7.Electrical and Instrumentation items: cables, motors, transformers, control panels, switchgears etc E&I material inspection includes motor run test, compressors FAT, cables continuity test, switches functional test etc.

8.Forgings inspection: Material inspection for forgings includes pattern’s dimensional inspection, pouring inspection and sampling, witness of chemical & mechanical tests, review of Radiography test (RT) films, visual & dimensional material inspection, mill markings verification etc.

9. Castings inspection: Material inspection for castings includes pattern’s dimensional inspection, pouring inspection and sampling, witness of chemical & mechanical tests, review of Radiography test (RT) films, visual & dimensional material inspection, mill markings verification etc.
PRESHIPMENT INSPECTION

Pre-shipment inspection is a part of supply chain management and an important quality control method for checking the quality of goods bought by clients. Inspection at the pre-shipment stage helps ensure that items being shipped complies with governing purchase order, contract, and specification. Pre-shipment inspection is agreed upon between a buyer, a supplier and a bank and can be used to initiate payment for the letter of credit Pre-shipment Inspection is a critical step prior to the shipment of items from suppliers worldwide. Before the items are shipped out, it is essential to perform an inspection to minimize the risk of loss due to nonconforming items, incorrect quantities, inadequate packing, pre-shipment damages, and missing shipment documents. Inspection during loading and unloading of cargo items onto trucks, ships or vessels is an integral part of the pre-shipment inspection to ensure no damages occur during this process and the items are loaded and placed onto vessel as per the client instruction or requirement. McLART LLC provides pre-shipment inspection services on behalf of clients, in UAE and all over the world.

Items are inspected for visual condition, quantity check, packing as per client instruction and document review pre-shipment. Items can also be witnessed during the loading and unloading of items into ship vessel to ensure no damage is caused due to mishandling during the loading/unloading of the shipment process. Pre-shipment inspection is carried out for materials such as pipes & plates, bulk items such as compressors, generators, turbines, etc. Pre-shipment inspection reduces risks inherent to fraud.
